Music For Your Ears - 3

WELCOME HOME,

that was weird...but anyways

HEY GUYS,
So I decided to do another music for your ears blog!
I've been super stressed out with school lately...it's just kicking my butt...so music has been a big way to relax myself, so here are some song that I hope you like :)

1.) Bastille (Cover)  - What Would You Do?

1.) Bastille (Cover)  - What Would You Do?
As soon as I heard this song I instantly became obsessed. This version is just so beautiful, you guys should listen to all of their covers! These guys are beyond talented! They're amazing!

2.) Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Same Love Feat. Mary Lambert
This song is just so beautiful. The voices, the lyrics, the message. Everything about this song is just so real, I just love everything about it.

3.) Plain White T's - Rhythm Of Love
Personally, I love the Plain White T's so as soon as I knew they sang this song I was like "yup, forsure gonna like it" and I do! I think it's such a cute song! I love the part where it talks about the girls blue eyes cause well, I have blue eyes, so I think that's also why I like it so much...hehehe :)

4.) Hoodie Allen - Feel The Love
I am a MASSIVE Hoddie Allen fan, and this song just made my obsession with him grow! Lol
It's different than his other ones, but it's the perfect jam for getting ready and it's fun to learn the words and just sing along with it! haha

5.) Down With Webster - Your Man
This is just overall a fun song! I love just jamminn out to it in my room alone, or in my car, or wherever I go! I heard this song about 3-4 years ago and I still haven't gotten tired of it! I love Down With Webster, seriously all their songs are so good!

6.) Miley Cyrus (Cover) - You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go
I absolutely love Bob Dylan, he is a legend, and when I heard that Miley was going to sing this song I was a little iffy about it but after I heard it I just seriously wanted to applaud her. She did the song justice, and I also like that she didn't just do a cover for it, she changed it to fit her vocals better and she did a beautiful job on it. Such a beautiful song, I am obsessed with this song as well.

7.) Norwegian Recycling  - Good Time (Mash-Up)
THIS IS THE PERFECT SUMMER SONG! that says it all, just listen to it and you'll see what I mean!

8.) Norwegian Recycling - How Six Songs Collide (Mash-Up)
I saved the best for last, this is an absolute favorite of mine.
Norwegian Recycling is absolutely amazing, I first heard this song about 5 years ago and I was beyond impressed and fascinated. They are so talented, it completely blows my mind how they created it. It sounds as if it was one song, not six. All of these songs are so beautiful so for them to put them all together and create one song with all of them is amazing!
They have alot more songs, such as the one above this one, so check them out! :)

So those were some of the songs I wanted to share with you guys,
I hope you like them :)
Well, that's it for toodayyy, come back again for more :)

Music For Your Ears - 2

Hey guys,
So I thought I would share with you guys once again some of the songs that have been stuck in my head recently :)

Sweet Nothing - Florence Welch ft. Calvin Harris
I just love Florence and Calvin Harris and when I head this song and it was just an instantly my jam!

Between The Raindrops - Lifehouse ft. Natasha Bedingfield
I have legitimately been listening to this song every single day for the past week, it just gets to me for some reason, it's so beautiful. I am a huge fan of them both.

Thrift Shop - Pentatonix (Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Cover)
So everyone has been obsessed with this song recently, including myself, and I thought this cover was really cool and original and accapella which makes it so much more unique.

Crystal Clear - Opus Orange
This is actually not a new song, at all, but when I was thinking of songs to put on this post I had to put this one. It's such a good, chill, different song. It's different from a lot of music I hear nowadays, it just puts me in a good mood!

Call Your Girlfriend - Lennon & Maisy Stella (Robyn Cover)
Yes, another cover, but no these girls are AMAZING. They are the definition of talent, watch all of their videos, it's just unreal the amount of talent these girls have at such a young age.

Hold On - Alabama Shakes
Her voice is unreal. This is an amazing band, and their sound is just so original! They have become one of my favorite bands.

Bleeding Out - The Lone Bellow
I actually found this because it was free on iTunes and it's one of those songs that you can just listen to it whenever and it kinda puts you in this mellow, reflecting about your life, inspirational kind of moods...you know?

AND LASTLY,

Bright Lights - Gary Clark Jr.
All I can say is that his music is real, it's kind of got that older jazzy tune along with more modern instruments. This is just the perfect to either jam out too, or just be chilling in your room and just be at peace. I absolutely love it.

SO there you have it, some of my favorite songs of the week!
What are some of YOUR favorite songs? :)

Hope you enjoy them, and come back for more :)

My Guilty Pleasure - Vinyl Record Player

Hello everyone!

So retro stuff and vintage stuff have always interested me, like seriously if I could choose to live in any time period it would probably be the 60's or 80's. I just find that eras so fascinating and also so incredibly creative, and sooo free!
I recently wanted to re-decorate my room, and I wanted to make it into a classy, vintage-y, retro style kinda thing. So I have been looking for small shops and antique stores in surrounding cities and I found a couple of stuff, but I was specifically looking for a vinyl record player for my room. I couldn't find it anywhere! I mean I saw it at Urban Outfitters, but....I find Urban a little too pricey on the electronics. I looked online and most of them were over $200. I mean I saw cheaper ones but they were either used and/or damaged, or they were just little simple boring ones, which theres nothing wrong with that but I wanted a vintage looking one. I had seriously just given up on it.
At the beginning of December my parents had told my sister and I that they wanted to get us a present because they saw how much we busted our little bootys this past semester at University (they were feeling giving, I mean it was December, everyone was feeling giving!), and we left it at that.
About a week later my mom and I were at Bed Bath & Beyond, just cruising the store looking through the isles when suddenly I see it. No joke, it was the most amazing vinyl record player, it was shinning like a star on a dark winter night. SO obviously I had to get it. It was a tad over what they were planning to spend on the little surprise but I begged and begged AND BEGGED! I mean I had just been looking for it for years!! So after many hours of convincing they got it for me!!!!!

This record player is one of the best one's I've ever seen! It was just love at first sight! lol But seriously, it is so beautiful and so elegant. It has wonderful features that not many of the have. Such as, vinyl record player (obviously) for 7, 10 and 12 in. records at the top, so if you can play any kind of vinyl there is! It also has a CD player slot on the front, so you can still jam out to your CD jammms. It has a cassette player slot on the side, so if you wanna keep the (semi) retro theme and slide in some of your old cassettes that you happen to find you still can. It also has an Aux-in cable so you can connect it to your iPhone or iPod or any MP3!! How awesome is that! It has AM/FM radio, and that's at the front as well and it looks soooo cool!!! and it also has the feature that if you want to record your vinyls into a CD or a cassette you very easily can!

The speakers are AMAZING! They are huge for starters, they are located on the front on both sides. The sound just comes out so clean, especially with he vinyls. You can turn it up real loud, and the quality of the sound doesn't change. It also comes with a remote control, so if you're either laying down or getting ready and you really don't feel like listening to that certain song you can just do the lazy thing that we all wanna do and change it without having to move :)
So you get the old, the not so old, and the new all in one machine! That's a awesome deal to me!
I have had it for about 2 months now and I am so incredibly happy with it! I'm always showing it off...hehe. It really made my room so complete, it kinda adds character to it. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

So I just wanted to share with you guys my little guilty pleasure, what is yours? :)

Comment below and leave your blog address and I look at your blog!
